2. Take The “Home” Out Of Your “House”.
When your house is filled with personal items it’s hard for buyers to imagine themselves living there. The more of a blank canvas you can provide to potential buyers that will view your home the better. Family photos, personal keepsakes, and collectible clutter are the main things to focus on removing from eyesight. It could be extremely beneficial to rent a storage unit to hold all of these items while your home sells.
3. Consider Underpricing.
If you price too high you might find that you’re missing a chance at reaching more buyers. That’s the exact opposite of what you want. The more exposure you can get for your home the better! Now, if you feel as if your asking price is fair then you should hold firm.
4. Offer A Gift
It’s almost expected these days for buyer’s closing costs to be covered, so you have to go outside of the box if you want your home to stand out from everyone else’s. If you live near a golf course and your future home doesn’t, maybe leave behind the golf cart. Or maybe you have an extra TV that you wouldn’t mind leaving behind for your buyers. Things like this will set you apart from the crowd in a GREAT way.
5. Improve Your Curb Appeal
You can only make one first impression so make sure to put your best foot forward. Prior to listing your home walk to your sidewalk and take a good look at your home. What could be improved upon? Make sure your lawn is moved, your driveway is clear of clutter, and exterior walls are clean. You want to make a lasting impression on any buyer that views your home!
