MONDAY MORNING MESSAGE | WHAT’S IN YOUR CONTROL?

One of the toughest things for most people is managing their emotions and actions that revolve around things that are outside their control. It’s frustrating and scary for most of us, enough so that it is a frontrunner in the cause of stress in people today. We can’t control the traffic, the weather, or what other people say, think or do. Yet, we are SO wrapped around the axle trying. Make this the year you get super mindful about letting go of the things you can’t control, and those things that no longer serve you. It takes practice, but you’ll soon come to find your blood pressure dropping, your joy rising, and your results more consistent. So how do you do it? It’s not magic – it’s mindfulness. It’s CHOOSING to find the good, see the positive, and stay in the moment – rather than let influences of negativity and worry take the wheel. It’s about carefully choosing your thoughts and actions and learning the incredible gift of releasing the emotion connected to the outcome of things.

Something to Think About

What CAN you control? Your thoughts. Your actions. Your mindset. And the things you fuel your mind and body with daily – even hourly. Give the keys to control over to those things and let go of the rest. If there’s any way I can help you with all of that – I’m all ears. Give me a shout!

Weekly Challenge
Make a list this week of things that have been weighing on you that you have no control over and make it a conscious effort to replace each one of those things in your mental checklist with something positive that you can act upon.

The difference between what you were yesterday, and what you will be tomorrow, is what you do today. Stephen Pierce

The truth is unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that the situation is over, you cannot move forward.  Steve Maraboli

You will find that it is necessary to let things go; simply for the reason that they are heavy. So, let them go, let go of them. C. JoyBel

Some people believe holding on and hanging in there are signs of great strength. However, there are times when it takes much more strength to know when to let go and then do it. ? Ann Landers
